I now have glasses. Everything looks very hard around the edges. I realise that's because previously I was looking at the world through Barbara Cartland Soft Focus (TM), but ... well, it's all very *there* now, isn't it.

After work, I strolled to Chinatown and managed to skip all the yummy restaurants' wafting smells of char siu to find some yellowbean sauce. It's getting very elusive. Littlebrother and I had yummy supper, though.

Tomorrow, I'm looking forward to startling my colleagues by looking over the top of my spectacles at them. *raises eyebrows, peers* It's a good look. ^_^

I am a survivor of the Barbara Cartland Soft Focus (TM). I *still* spend a bit of time every week showing Cory, while pulling my glasses on and off, "see? I can see...and now I can't...and now I can...and now I can't..." Somehow, he has not yet become annoyed at me.

I've been doing that incessantly since Wednesday! It's too much fun. "Oh, I can read that! And now I can't! And now I can! And now I can't!"

I'm worried Ted might feel less useful now I no longer need him to navigate me around. I think I should think of new tasks for him to do, so he still feels wanted.

I thought I was the only one who did that!! I will say that I find it rather annoying to be near-sighted. It's such a nuisance to take *off* my glasses to read!

Tell me about it. I'm not really short-sighted but I have quite a strong astigmatism (omgz! deformed eyeballs!) so it's distance that's a problem - hence my complete inability to read signs. Woez.

PS I've always thought you look totally hot in your glasses, heh heh.

Heh, I forgot my glasses after work. It's a good thing this town is small and I know what all the signs say already. ::ahem::

Yay for glasses! I also want a pic!

I only use mine for computering and reading, and fall over when I walk around in them so the world is still in soft focus most of the rest of the time. Which is nice except I mostly guess the bus number from it's shape or the train from the length of the word.

Yay, glasses! I love my glasses. I could not survive without them.
